May 13, 2022
One key messages we heard at the Leadership Summit was the importance of mental health nurses in all service settings and how staffing pressures have become a challenge across the mental health care continuum. On May 13th, we convened leaders in child and youth mental health to take a solutions-focused approach to the shared challenges facing the workforce. The most essential part of the session was the opportunity to strategize solutions with peers from across the country.
Goals for the consultation include sharing strategies for:
Retention, recruitment, and continuing education for nursing leaders in child and youth mental healthConnecting programs and organizations that provide mental health services with schools of nursing to foster relationships.
